Signs It's Time You Two Break Up

By: DFTM

1. You’re only in the relationship to spare her feelings
Deep down you know you no longer want to be in the relationship any longer, but you’re scared of telling her it’s over. Even if you’re the kind of person who’s used to looking out for everyone else’s needs, you’re not doing your girlfriend any favors by staying with her out of sympathy.

2. You’ve simply grown apart

You may have really loved each other when you were in high school or college, but now you find that you’re just completely different people going in different directions and the relationship is not right for the people you are today.

3. You would rather spend time alone

At the beginning of the relationship,
picnics on the beach and spontaneous romantic getaways were all great options. Now, spending time with her seems like more of a chore and you make up excuses just to go out on a date. You spend most of your spare time with separate friends, visiting your families alone, or anything else you can think of to avoid spending time with each other. Simply put, you and your significant other have already emotionally broken up without making it official.

4. You fight over everything

You constantly fight over everything and when you do, nothing is off limits. You’ll both bring up incidents from the past that you thought were long forgotten and you both aim deliberately for each other’s weak spots. You may make up with each other and resolve to make things better, but the resentment is still there.

5. Sex is non-existent

Sure, sex is not everything, but if your sexuality has fizzled, you’re only getting it on a few times a month and both of you constantly use excuses to avoid sex,  it’s time to move on.

6. Cheating

If you and your partner have cheated on each other, what are the chances that this is behavior will continue in the future? If neither of you expresses real remorse or takes full responsibility for your actions, both of you are more likely to embark on this destructive behavior again and again. Why stay in a relationship that has turned into a vicious cycle of mistrust and revenge?

7. You’re a different person when you’re with her

You become a submissive beta male when you’re with your girlfriend, afraid to take a stand for fear of provoking another fight. The relationship feels like a prison sentence and you’ve deliberately started to ignore her attempts to contact you. The relationship is draining all of the energy right out of you and all of your friends are pointing out how sad or upset you seem whenever you’re with her.
