Princess Kate's First Time in NewYork

Inside Princess Kate's Visit to N.Y.C.

According to Peoples Magazine,
It might be Princess Kate's first visit to New York City, but one plan she has while she is here involves a longtime passion of hers – helping children in need.
On Monday morning, the expectant mother – who is traveling to the U.S. with her husband, Prince William – will be visiting the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem – and people there couldn't be more thrilled.
"We are so excited," Nina Fenton, the center's director of development, tells PEOPLE. "She is tremendously supportive for

children's mental health. Her coming to see us means a lot."
The organization, which has been around for over 60 years, provides education and mental-health services to over 3,000 New York City children and families.
Kate, 32, along with New York City First Lady Chirlane McCray, will be there for over an hour and will spend quality time with some of the families that use their services.
"They will then go to our holiday gift-wrapping party," says Fenton. "We heard that the princess loves gift-wrapping, so we are going to put her to work."
She will also be going to a classroom to help children with special needs decorate picture frames.
"The teacher in that classroom has no words for how much she is looking forward to it," Fenton says. "They will create and make some great work."
The kids, who are between 3 and 4 years old, are too young to know exactly who Kate is, but they do know one thing.
"They think a princess from the movies is coming. They said she lives in a castle and that they want to share their toys with her," says Fenton.
