Lesbian Couple Waited Seven Decades To Get Married
Alice Dubes and Vivian Doyack finally made it official.
The reason why it took so long is because they had to wait till the same-sex marriage legislation passes in their state. At the age of 90 & 91, Dubes and Doyak were married off in their wheel chairs at the First Christian Church in Davenport, Iowa this weekend. Apparently, they have been living together for 72 years.
"We’ve had a good time,” Dubes said.
“This is a celebration of something that should have happened a very long time ago,” said Reverend Linda Hunsaker to the family and friends of the couples who have toured around all 50-states in their early years.
We wish them all the best but how crazy is this?

ReplyDeleteNot everybody has a good relationship with God ,so we have different perspectives . I personally don't have a problem with gay marriage,this doesn't mean i'm in support but i can respect their decisons. For the reverend ,her relationship with God is definitely not as deep as it should be. i guess what i'm trying to say is we should learn to respect people's decision and that don't necessarily mean we should accept it.

Deletethe reverend shouldn't be a leader of the Church because she's sending out mix message about what the Bible says. On the other hand some people are product of the society, which means the are comfortable with what society thinks is fine" Homosexuality " no true Christian or Islam person will accept homosexuality.
Woooooowwwww... This is a true proof and perfect example of TRUE LOVE... For the fact that this couple stayed together for 72yrs shows that love is love and it can be expressed in different shades, shapes and sizes. I am not judge anyone for being lesbian or homosexual, not only because I'm not God but also because i have seen "normal" couples Marry and divorce in less than 5years due to lack of love. This should be An example and inspiration to all of us.
